Richard is Futurist-in-Residence at the Technology Foresight Practice at Imperial College London, an external lecturer at London Business School and a member of the Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAAs) Aviation Futures Group. He has worked with, amongst others, Cambridge University, McKinsey, Lego, Ikea, the Royal College of Art, The Department of Education (UK and Australia), The Cabinet Office (UK), Vodafone, The Ministry of Defence (UK), Bank Muscat (Oman), ADNOC (Abu Dhabi), The Prime Minister’s Office (Dubai) and GEMS (Dubai).

Richard has written five books. His first, Future Files (2007), was translated into sixteen languages. His most recent, Digital Vs. Human (2016), explores the areas of artificial intelligence, robotics and the internet from a human perspective. He is currently writing a sixth book looking at how different environments impact thinking.
